The second installment of the course was held on August 18, and was presented as a seven-hour course for the officers.
Topics covered during the seven hours included; child abuse and neglect investigations; cold case interrogations; accidental death cases; firearms identification and ballistics; gunshot wound cases; and cutting, stabbing, and blunt trauma cases.

Individuals participating in the course included; Detectives Tim Early and Jon Rigsby of the Lebanon Police Department; Deputy Sheriff Kevin White of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department; Detective Jeffrey Scanlon of the Wright City Police Department; Senath Chief of Police Omar Karnes and Officer Jerad Callahan of the Senath Police Department; Chief of Police Howard Duckworth of the Browning Police Department; Duane Nichols, Case Preparation Specialist for the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and Deputy Sheriff William Renken of the Saline County Sheriff's Department.
The course was the 15th in a series of classes offered since the inception of the SCCJTC in May of 2008.

The next scheduled courses at the Saline County Criminal Justice Training Center include; Firearms Safety Instructor Training, scheduled for September 19; and Homicide Crime Scene Investigation, Part III, scheduled for October 20.
