Lurlie Jewel Todd, daughter of the late Luther and Ida Holcomb Toombs, was born February 16, 1918, in Cardwell, Mo., and passed away September 3, 2009, at Heritage Gardens of Senath, Mo., at the age of 91 years.
She married Sherrill Willard Todd on October 1, 1934, in Cardwell.
Lurlie was a life-long resident of Cardwell and member of the First Baptist Church in Cardwell. She retired from factory and hospital work.
Survivors include one son, Bobbie Todd, and wife Carol, of Blytheville, Ark.; one daughter, Nancy Green, and husband Ronald, of Watervliet, Mich.; two brothers, Leslie Holcomb, of Rector, Ark., and Vernon Holcomb, of Paragould, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Robert, Michael, and Richard Todd, David Cisco, Teresa Robbins, Jerris Farrell, and Sandra Ross; eight great-grandchildren, Nicola Cisco, Justin and Patrick Farrell, Ashley and Will Robbins, John Ross, Darby and Kari Todd; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Sherrill; one son, Jimmie Dale Todd; one brother, Harold Holcomb; and two sisters, Alma Jackson and Bonnie Miller.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009, at the Cardwell Cemetery with the Rev. A.E. Stanley officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath is in charge of the arrangements.
