A native of Rives, Mo., Dustin Martin, currently has a song released to 1700 radio stations with 450 overseas, and one of the stations being Kennett's 106.5 The Wolf KTMO.

Martin, who co-wrote the song with Mike Lawler, sings lead vocals on "Your Fickle Mind," which was released on August 17, and is currently getting air time on 106.5 The Wolf KTMO, along with stations across the U.S. and other countries.

Lawler played all instruments on the song, except for the lead guitar played by Dan Choen, and has worked with various top names in the music industry during his career, according to Martin. Martin added that some of these names included James Brown, The Allman Brothers Band, and Ronnie Milsap. Lawler also wrote the song "Lonely Too Long," which was recorded by Patty Loveless, Martin noted.

"This is a dream come true," Martin said. "You work one night for twelve people making $15 and the next day suddenly you catch a break and it just kind of makes it all worth it."

Martin noted that he has been living in Murphysboro, Tenn., for four years and has continuously been working on performing and writing music.

Another song, "Dog in the Yard," will be released within the next two weeks, according to Martin. He added that the two will continue to release singles until enough songs are completed to create an album.

Individuals interested hearing the song can listen to 106.5 The Wolf KTMO or visit myspace.com/dustinmartinonline.

Martin noted that he and Lawler were currently working to make the songs available for purchase at his official Web site, www.dustinmartinonline.com.

"I want to thank KTMO and give a shout out to Monte Lyons for giving the song air time and supporting someone local," Martin said.

Hammer down Dustin. I knew I would be seeing you someday in the news for your hard work. I told you once while I was substituting at Senath Schools that I hoped to see you on CMT or on the radio. Good Luck, and keep bending them guitar strings.
