Anna was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and was pianist at the church for several years. She was a volunteer at the Helping Hand. She and her husband were former owners of Dairy Queens in Sikeston and Caruthersville and formerly owned a steak house in Kennett..
Anna married Merl Mabie on Oct. 18, 1947, in Salisbury. Merl preceded her in death June 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Benjamin Mabie; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Harrison of Columbia, Mo., Joyce Lively of Cleburne, Texas, and Nancy Peters of St. Charles, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Wilson of Hurlock, Md., and other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Faith United Methodist Church in Kennett with Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett in charge of the arrangements.
