Betty Cash
Betty Anne Jones Cash died peacefully at her beloved home in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, after a long difficult struggle with smoking-related emphysema. She was 85. Though this disease robbed her of her energy she never lost her upbeat fun-loving attitude and she pushed herself to remain as active as possible.

Betty Anne was born and raised in Kennett. She graduated from the University of Missouri where she was the president of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. In January of 1965 she moved to Houston with her husband, Joe Cash and daughter, Robin Cash. While living in Houston she had a very successful real estate career. It can be said that Betty Anne had a life she loved.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joe Cash; her parents, Paul and Ethel Jones; her sister, Nell Mobley, of Kennett, and her brother, Paul Jones Jr., of Albuquerque, N.M. She is survived by her only child, Robin Cash, currently living at her home in Houston and her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dunklin Day Activity Center, 320 Kennett St., phone 573-888-1727.

A reception celebrating her life will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at her home in Houston. All her family and friends are invited.
