John Warren Maddox, 54, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born February 4, 1955, in Gideon, Mo., to Rebecca James Maddox and the late Luther W. "Lew" Maddox. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarkton.
On December 27, 1989, in Clarkton, Mo., he married Candi Hart Davison, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter Cassidy Maddox, of the home; one step-daughter, Lacey Winchester, and husband Tommy, of Malden, Mo.; two sons, Jason Maddox, and wife Andrea, of Malden, and Jeremy Maddox, and Aimee Hosford, of Clarkton; seven grandchildren, Patrick and Carter Maddox, Dru Hosford Maddox, Cymber Arnold, Camille Winchester, Bree Winchester and Isaac Winchester; one brother Kendal Maddox, and wife Francis, of Clarkton; two sisters, Luann Jefferies, and husband Jerry, of Fairdealing, Mo., and Jeanne Bailey, and husband Phillip, of Hot Springs, Ark.; nephews, Tyler Layne, of Malden, and Doug Bailey, of Benton, Ark.; nieces, Julie Barker, of Russellville, Ark., and Amy Maddox, of Malden.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., on Monday, August 31, at the Landess Funeral Chapel of Malden.
Services will be held at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, September 1, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden with Mr. James Powell and Reverend Jack Allen officiating.
