John Warren Maddox, 54, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, at the Landesss Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with James Powell officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Old Friends ( a Kentucky facility for retired thoroughbreds).
