Frank Carter, Jr.

Frank Pierce Carter, Jr., son of the late Frank Pierce Carter, Sr., and Vada Lou Ferguson Carter, was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Blytheville, Ark., and departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at the age of 75.

He served in the United States Air Force.

Frank married Helen Fuller on Oct. 18, 1959, in Oxford, Miss.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Carter, of Kennett; two sons, Frank P. Carter III and wife, Tina, of Kennett, and David L. Carter and wife, Holly, of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Nora Joanne Waddell and husband, Keith, of Kennett; six grandchildren, Frank P. Carter IV, Suzanne Carter, Jacob Waddell, Leigh Erin Waddell, David Lee Carter II and Fox Pierce Carter; one sister, Jeanne Winkler, of Kennett, and other relatives and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Joe Carter and a sister, Martha O'Neil.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Revs. Bud Evans and Jason Bowen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
