Donald Mack West, son of the late Elmer and Mary Lou Scott West, was born March 19, 1941, in Arbyrd, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Ark., at the age of 68 years.
He married Glenda Faye Walker June 8, 1963, in Arbyrd.
Donnie Mack was a deacon and member of the First Baptist Church in Arbyrd, Pastmaster Arnold, Mo. Masonic Lodge 673, and presently member of the Hornersville Masonic Lodge 215 and a 32 Degree Shriner. He was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Arbyrd High School.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Faye West, of Arbyrd; one daughter, Tracie Bennett and husband, James, of DeSoto, Mo.; one brother, Elmer West, of Arbyrd; one sister, Vera Pollard and husband, Rayford, of Trimble, Mo.; one grandson, Eric Robinson and fiancÚ, Christina Goodman, and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Starmann and Janice Sue West and one brother, William Destal West.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, with Masonic services at 7 p.m., at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Arbyrd.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at the First Baptist Church in Arbyrd with Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Larry Petty, Ron Branum, Tom Vallee, Mike Huggins, Tim Cureton, Phillip Cureton, Hugh Walpole and Johnny McMinn.
