On Aug. 7, 2009, Brother Dan Leggett went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was an ordained minister with The Assemblies of God since 1979. He pastored churches in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kansas and Missouri.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg, Tenn., with Reverend Randy Lainheart and Reverend Jerry Leggett officiating.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Daniel Beaver, Floyd Wallace, Harold Mikel, Toney Hill, Jason Wilson and Greg Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Shelby Williams and Randy Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Eva Davison Leggett, one daughter, Melonie Rae Leggett Williams and husband Randy, of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Jerry Leggett and wife Brenda, of Union City, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Shelby, Hannah Lynn (Bunny), and Gabbriella Hope Williams, all of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Joe Leggett and his parents, Thomas Woodrow and Mattie Lue Warren Leggett.
