Parham Johnson

Parham Johnson, son of the late Earnest Alexander Johnson and Mary Grace Bonner Johnson, was born May 10, 1923, in Sardis, Miss., and departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at the age of 86.

On Nov. 16, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Lillian Beatrice Stone, who preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 2004. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Dane Johnson, on Dec. 28, 2007; a brother, Arnold Johnson and a sister, Catherine Purvis.

Survivors include two sons, Dane Johnson and wife, Cheryl, of Pascola, Mo., and Keith Johnson and wife, Anne, of Portageville, Mo.; two daughters, June Pritchard and husband, Tommy, of Caruthersville, Mo., and Pam Burrus, of Memphis, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Grace Glisson, of Wardell, Mo., and other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., today, Friday, Aug., 7, in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo., with Pastor Bob Kespelher officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
