Glenda Lue Blanton, daughter of the late Elvin Everett Wills and Thelma Irene Jackson Wills, was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Wappapello, Mo., and departed this life Monday, Aug. 3, 2009.
On Sept. 24, 1960, she married Charles Wesley Burdin, who preceded her on March 11, 1978. She later married James Ralph Blanton Sept. 10, 1983, who survives.
Survivors include her husband, James Ralph Blanton, of Kennett; three sons, Charles Wesley Burdin and wife, Jana, of Batesville, Ark., David Elvin Burdin and wife, Sarah, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Tony Lynn Burdin and wife, Teresa, of Carterville, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Caroline, Briley, Mason, Carrigan, Karsten, Kaleb and Hattie-Lou Burdin; one step-son, Michael Barron Blanton and wife, Fay, of Conway, Ark.; two granddogs and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Sue Goodnight, her twin sister and Beverly Ruth Simpson.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Kruger officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Cramer Jackson, Dan Finley, John Bennett, Dan Carlisle, Scotty Morgan and Marc Baldwin.
