Ellen Branum

Ellen Branum, daughter of the late Henry and Ader Carter Chilton, was born on April 24, 1912, in Cardwell, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Heritage Gardens in Senath, Mo., at the age of 97.

She married Thomas J. Branum on December 22, 1928, in Hornersville, Mo. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1984.

She was also preceded in death by nine children and two brothers.

Survivors include three sons, Bob Branum, of Owensboro, Ky.; Joe Mack Branum, and James Branum, both of Cardwell; 38 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, with the Reverend Leland Dement officiating.

Burial will be in the Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Brannum, Larry Ashby, James Brannum, Gary Miller, Robby Miller, and Travis Brannum.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath is in charge of all arrangements.
