Kathryn married James Edward Smallmon on October 11, 1947. James preceded her in death on June 7, 2008.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry D. Smallmon, of Kennett; James Edward Smallmon, Jr., of Paragould, Ark.; three daughters, Linda S. Camden, of Wappepello, Mo.; Debra A. Bates, of Kennett; and Tammy K. Wrather, of Kennett; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Wright, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Troy Wright, of Centralia, Ill.; five sisters, Ethel Pippen; Nadine Gregg; Louis Orrision; and Pauline Huffstutler, all of Centralia, Ill.; and Brenda Phillips of Marion, Ill.; and other relatives and many friends.
Kathryn was preceded in death by one son, Larry Smallmon; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Jimmy and Leroy Wright; and on sister, Edith Hualsey.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday, July 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with services being at 2 p.m., on Thursday at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Noonan officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Pallbearers including Brandon Carter, Mark Gibson, Conner Henson, Lee Jones, Jonathan Duke, and Timothy Smallmon. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Carter and Anthony Miller.
Mrs. Smallmon was of Kennett and passed away July 4, at Poplar Bluff Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett is in charge of all arrangements.
