What about the children?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Since Michael Jackson's death, his mother Katherine, has been granted temporary guardianship of the pop star's three children.

Considering all factors, including the situation surrounding Debbie Rowe, the legal parent of two of the children, who do you believe should be granted full custody in the case?

I believe the courts were correct in awarding temporary custody to Mrs. Jackson. Although Debbie Rowe is the biological mother of the two oldest children, she has had no relationship with them at all, despite having her parental rights restored in 2006 after a judge ruled they were improperly terminated. The third child's biological mother is not known and I believe it would not be in their best interest to separate the children. Despite being 79 years of age, Mrs. Jackson, with the help of Michael's siblings, is the best option to care for all of the children.

This entire thing is weird beyond weird.

Michael Jackson paid for White male sperm donors, White female egg donors, and rented White female wombs to bear the children.

Yeah, I know, sounds racist hey? well, just reverse the scenario, if a White celebrity had done this with Black surrogates, the racism charges would have flown like wheat chaff in a Kansas tornado.

I find it very sad that you would try to take someone's death and try to turn it into a racial issue. This isn't Topix.

There is no concrete proof that the allegations you made are true, therefore it's a mute point. By law, Michael was their father and that's all that matters.

Instead of making attempts to belittle Michael's legacy, people need to take the opportunity to really look at the global outpouring of love that is being shown for him and his family. The world, and especially Kennett, would be a much better place if people took a timeout from trying to tear others down and took the time to love.

I Corinthians 13:4-7

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

I don't know why anybody not associated with the MJ family would particularly care one way or the other who should have custody of the children. Irrespective of his considerable vocal and dancing talents, I am guessing that almost anyone would be more suitable than MJ.

Everybody is always so quick to believe any rumor but person should seek all the facts instead of throwing stones at some one who is dead and can not speak for himself.

There is no "rumor" about "Jacko" holding an infant child outside of an open window several stories up. There is ample news footage of the occurrence.

Let the man have some dignity. He has passed. I don't believe our Lord and Savior is on the list of email participants in the comments. Then judge not and allow all things to pass.

One incident does not an unfit parent make. If that were the case, then nobody would be fit for parenting.

We've all made mistakes in the past that we wish we could go back and correct, but by all accounts Michael was a very loving father to his children

I think you were meaning to say a moot point, not mute.

What if "Jacko" had sneezed and dropped the infant? Would that one incident have been enough to make him unfit?

Anybody can say what if, but the what if did not happen.

What if you chose to show this man who has achieved what no other person in history has achieved (nor is anyone likely to ever equal) through his music the respect that he deserves in death?

What if you died and people came on here and bashed you instead allowing you a last bit of dignity?

What if you didn't look the other way before making that left turn and, God forbid, hit a child playing in the street?

What if you were driving and sneezed and crossed the center line killing a family of four?

What if...what if?

None of those "what ifs" has happened and I pray that they never do.

Regardless whether you like Michael or his music, is not my concern, but to disrespect someone in death is downright unclassy.

(and to the person who corrected the moot vs. mute spelling, thank you. I have seen it both ways, so I was unsure.)

There is a marked difference between deliberate child endangerment and accidental child endangerment.

It is a shame that people such as SENATH david will always say "what if". I do not intend to believe the worst of people, MJ had always "loved" people and wanted others to do the same. He has gave more than any other star to charities, he is in the Guiness book. It is sad to think he left us so soon as due to the so called Dr's who were taking "care" of him. I pray for his family and children. You will not be forgotten Michael. I hope your children remain in the care of your family.

SenathDavid never said "what if", SenathDavid said that "Jacko" dangled an infant outside of an open window several stories up with reckless indifference to the possible consequences. There was no "what if" there, that happened, and is a well documented fact.

Please grant some of us the right to call them as we see them, and to others that do not believe as I do,you may call them as you see them.

All media hype, the big MJ Staples event was a no show bust.

["Thomas Lifson

The true extent of the media hype surrounding the death of Michael Jackson has been exposed. Fox News reports on air that as the Michael Jackson memorial was starting, tickets were being handed out to bystanders, as embarrassingly empty seats inside the Staples Center signaled reality refusing to conform to media-generated expectations."

(snip)The public has even less reason to place their confidence in the antique media that brought us the sensationalistic coverage of the funeral of a celebrity whose career and life have been falling apart for many years."]

Michael Jackson was nothing more than a rich, freak, pedophile. The Dr's did not kill him. He killed himself. He was already as low as he could go, so the next step was death.
