Jeannine Steenrod

Jeannine "Mimi" Steenrod, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at Bright Kavanagh House. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Jeannine was born Feb. 5, 1946 to Harry and Jeanette Goddard in Kennett. She worked for many years as a case worker for the St. Louis, Missouri Division of Family Services. Jeannine moved to Des Moines 11 years ago to begin a new chapter in her life as "Grandmother" which she loved dearly.

Jeannine is survived by her daughter, Monica Greer; granddaughters, Emily and Sydnie Greer, and a host of other family and beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family for her granddaughters' college fund.

Hamilton's Funeral & After Life Services of West Des Moines was in charge of arrangements.
