Raymond Campbell

Raymond Eugene Campbell, son of the late Rube R. Campbell and Rowena Moore Campbell, was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Hollywood, Mo., and departed this life on June 19, 2009 at the age of 85 years, four months, and 18 days.

Raymond married Geneva Oakley on Feb. 6, 1943 in Dexter, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Oakley, of Kennett; one son, Jerry Campbell, and wife Donna, of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Brenda Croft, and husband Larry, of Imperial, Mo.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lee J. "Willie" Campbell, of Sikeston, Mo., Howard Campbell, and wife Louise, Frankie Campbell, and wife Shirley, and Herbert Campbell, and wife Vickie, all of Kennett; one sister, Helen Allen, and husband Don, of Paragould, Ark.; and other relatives and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Campbell.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at Oak Ridge Cemetery of Kennett with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating.

Burial followed in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
