Letha Kathleen Crites Barnes Mungle, daughter of the late George Crites And Martha Rutherford Crites, was born June 14, 1922 in Patton, Mo., and departed this life on June 15, 2009 at the age of 87 years and 1 day, at the Cypress Point Nursing Home in Dexter, Mo.
She was a charter member of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.
Letha married Oval Barnes on March 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1986. On March 16, 1987 she married Jimmie Mungle, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2003.
Survivors include one step-son, Jimmie Mungle, of Eden, N. C.; one step-daughter, Betty Harris, of Kennett; two nephews, Rev. Jimmy Kirby, of Dexter and Edward Crites, of Farmington, Mo.; two nieces, Verna Morris and Sharon Pruett, both of Dexter; four step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Crites and Edward "Ed" Crites and a sister, Grace Kirby.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., today, Thursday, June 18 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are members of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.
