Dorothy Morgan

Dorothy Morgan, 77, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Feb. 29, 1932, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Nora Bell Albertson.

On Feb. 16, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., she married W.C. "Doug" Morgan, who preceded her in death on March 24, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Albertson.

Survivors include one son, Steve Morgan and wife, Sarah, of Senath; four daughters, Melissa Chadwick and husband, David, of Brookland, Ark., Fern Copley and husband Timothy, of Senath, Belinda Kelley and husband, David, of Little Rock, Ark., and Janita Reed and husband, Butch, of Kennett; one sister, Wanda Fay Moody and husband, Gene, of Kennett; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Rev. Mick Moffitt officiating.

Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brandon Reed, Timothy Reed, Stevie Morgan, Bradley Morgan, Nat Deck, Gared Deck, Zack Deck, Erin Copley, Michael Kelley, Christy Watson and Gilliam Chadwick.
