The 2009 theme is "Beach Party," and Lions Club member Will Mobley reports that the talent in this year's show is the best ever.
"There is music in the show for everyone including rock and roll, country, and 50's music and spirituals," Mobley said.
He added that the show will feature lots of new performers including talented young people and local professionals, along with favorite performers who have always been the backbone of the past shows.
Also at the event, the audience will have the opportunity to win prizes, donated by local businesses, during the intermission. Every $1 bag of candy will be a chance to win prizes including a TV, gas grill, bicycles, a Lazyboy recliner, and much more.
Senath Lions Club President, Jamie Bruce said, "The show is always a good time. The support we receive from the community is unbelievable and very much appreciated. I think this is going to be a great show and we invite everyone to spend this Saturday night with us at the Beach Party in Hornbeck Auditorium."
Funds raised by the Senath Lions Club are used to purchase eye glasses for school age children in the local school district, provide scholarships, support the ministerial alliance, and support summer camp for the visually impaired, along with other Lions Club sight projects and local charities.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale for $5 each and can be purchased at Shelter Insurance in Senath, Senath State Bank in Senath and Kennett, from any Lions Club member, and at the door the night of the event.
