James Franklin Cranford, 82, of Kennett, died Sunday, May 24, 2009.
Born June 5, 1926, in East Prairie, Mo., son of the late Tom Cranford and Pearl Rhodes Cranford, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during WWII.
On March 11, 1976, he married Billie Jean Patterson, who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Cranford of Kennett and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Abe Cranford and two sisters, Rose and Evelyn.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 27 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with Charles Crawford officiating.
