Ronald "R.E."Edwin Lemonds went to meet his Lord on May 14, 2009 at his home in Columbia, Mo.

He left behind his wife of 51 years, Christine Lemonds, of Columbia; son, Bryan Lemonds, of Bloomington, Ind.; daughter, Rhonda Brown, of Kansas City, Mo., and seven grandchildren.

He was born in Southeast Missouri on March 5, 1936 to Homer and Dolah Lemonds of Kennett where he was the third of four children. Ron left home to attend the University of Missouri where he joined the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity and earned a degree in Agricultural Sciences. He later met the love of his life Ethel Christine Johnson of Verona, Mo., and they were married in a snowstorm on Feb. 1, 1958. He served his country honorably in the US Army where he was stationed in Fort Sill, Okla. Ron worked for Ralston Purina for five years but later joined Edward Jones to become an investment representative. Ron had an amazing career at Edward Jones that spanned the course of 30 years and allowed him to travel the world and make many lifetime friends. He ran a branch office for Edward Jones in Norfolk, Neb. for 15 years previously before moving to St. Louis where he was a General Partner in Charge of Equity Marketing. He retired in 1995 at the age of sixty to travel the world and spend time with his family. In later years, Ron and Chris split their time between their homes in Columbia and Tonto Verde, Ariz.
