Lindsey Pruett, 19, of Kennett, was pronounced dead at 10:28 p.m., on Thursday at St. John's Regional Medical Center of Springfield, by Dr. Sun Hoon Lee.
Pruett was the rear seat passenger in an automobile crash involving a Highway Patrol vehicle on Sunday, May 3.
According to authorities, the incident occurred as Pruett was traveling with her classmates Leanna Siebenhuener, 18, of Kennett, and Kirsti Olson, 18, of Omaha, Neb., on U.S. Highway 60, approximately 1.1 miles east of Cabool, Mo., at approximately 7:23 p.m.
Authorities say Siebenhuener lost control of the vehicle and slid broadside, colliding with the rear of a parked Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicle, belonging to an officer who was investigating a previous accident.
Both Siebenhuener and Olson suffered minor injuries and were transported by St. John's Emergency Medical Service to St. John's Regional Medical Center.
All three occupants were reported by officials to have been wearing their seat belts.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett will be in charge of arrangements.

my prayers are with all of you its awful the worst nightmare any parents should have to have GOD Bless.
I cannot imagine the emotions that her family and friends are feeling right now. She was a beautiful young lady. People say that in these times we should celebrate the life, but I believe that is easier said than done. May god be with all her loved ones during this time of mourning.
