Barbara Elllen Wilkins Moore, 81, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Dec. 22, 1927, in Hornersville, daughter of the late Luther and Tessie Fiddler May, she was owner/operator of Barbara's Beauty Shop for 46 years, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hornersville.
On June 29, 1946, in Paragould, Ark., she married Joe "Bud" Wayne Wilkins, who preceded her in death on June 2, 1969. She married Thomas Moore on July 12, 1978, in Lake City, Ark., He preceded her in death in November of 2001. She was also preceded in death by one brother, G.C. May and an infant sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Jetta Skillern and husband, Steve, of Jonesboro and Sherry Lutterloh and husband, Brooks, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; one brother, Don May, of Hornersville; three grandchildren, Chris Skillern and wife, Angie, of Branson, Mo., Liana Lutterloh, of Fort Collins, Colo., and Ashley Lutterloh, of Wilson, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Conner Skillern, Blane Gunter and Skyla Gunter, all of Branson and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, at the First United Methodist Church in Hornersville with Revs. Jim Pemberton and Paul Moore officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Don Wilkins, Joe Mel Hinesly, Keith Cole, Tommy Wilkins, Jason Droke and Richard Mara.
Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
