Elizabeth Pittman, 91, of Kennett, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born August 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Harvery and Elsi Winters Ramsey. She was a homemaker.
She married Alexander Pittman, who preceded her in death, in Missouri.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Trevis Pittman; two brothers, Ed and David Ramsey; two sisters, Ruby Ramsey and Eula Kent; three grandchildren, George Stewart, Jr., Bobby Pittman, and JR and Rayshaun Pittman.
Survivors include five sons, Charles Pittman and Vernon Pittman, both of Kennett, Leroy Pittman and wife Ida, of Caruthersville, Mo., Clarence Pittman, of Detroit, Mich., and Donald Ray Pittman and wife Susan, of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; two daughters, Carolyn Pittman, of Kennett, and Donna Pittman of Homestown, Mo.; one brother, Jay Ramsey, of Memphis, Tenn.; four sisters, Alice Harris of Los Angeles, Calif., Katie McMorris, of Baton Rouge, La., Geneva Brackens, of Memphis, Tenn., and Willie Bell Hookfin, of New Orleans, La.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2009, with Elder Melvin Macklin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gobler Cemetery in Gobler, Mo.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of all arrangements.
