Fred Junior Mansfield "Junior", 73, of Hornersville, Mo., died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born April 27, 1935, in Hornersville, son of the late Fred Mansfield and Mamie Corker Mansfield, he was a farmer and was also employed by the Senath-Hornersville School District as a bus driver. He was a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church.
On July 7, 1954, in Kennett, he married Doris Wimberley, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Pete Mansfield and wife, Debbie, of Hornersville; three daughters, Connie Biggert and husband, Lee, of Olive Branch, Miss., Terry Napier and husband, Terry, Of Kennett and Kim Shackleford and husband, Alan, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three sisters, Wanda Maxwell, of Arbyrd, Mo., Lou Collingsworth, of Hornersville and Brenda Haynes, of Cardwell, Mo.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dub Mansfield and one sister, Pat Mansfield.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 20, in the Horner Cemetery with Bro. Paul Moore officiating.
Pallbearers were Rick Bibbs, Eddie Lomax, Will Donaldson, Marty Moore, Jerry Dillon and Jackie Taylor.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
