Doyle Leevon Thompson, 80, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in Austin, Texas.
Born December 19, 1928, in Leacheville, Ark., the son of the late John and Iva Blocker Thompson.
On December 24, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., He married JoAnn McLain, who survives.
Other survivors include three daughter; Teresa Estrada, and husband Juan, of Austin, Texas, Deronda Black, and husband Steve, of Kalamazoo, Mich., Tammy Legg, of Sweatwater, Tenn., five brothers; Donald, Delbert, David, Dayton, and Delton Thompson, three sisters; Ola Raider, Pat Barnes, and Peggy Moody, seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one son; Doyle Wayne Thompson, and one sister; Onita Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Jody McFadden officiating.
Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery near Senath.
Pallbearers will be Orville Burcham, Mike Todd, Joe Bost, Terry Burcham, Norman Jamison, Ted Moody, R. Wayne McLain, and Jesse Montgomery.
McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath is in charge of all arrangements.
