Born April 30, 1954, in Kennett, son of the late Tommy Payne, Sr., and Billie Gibson Payne, he was in the National Guard and a truck driver.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Payne, Jr., Jonathan Payne and Jamey Payne, all of Kennett; two daughters, Diane Payne Conder, of Kennett and Misty Payne Dumas, of Paragould, Ark.; five brothers, Tommy Payne, Jr., and Ronnie Payne, both of Rector, Ark., James Payne, of Greenville, Mo., Ristel Payne, of St. Francis, Ark., and Ricky Payne, of Kennett; one sister, Linda Payne Lloyd, of Kennett; special friend, Janet Miller, of Kennett and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Jerry Payne.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, April 16, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Mansfield officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
