Jerry Lynn Hargrove, 57, of Kennett, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Kennett.
Born June 18, 1951, in Kennett, son of Earline Dunlap Hargrove and the late Gerald Hargrove, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, a bus driver for Kennett Public School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
On June 25, 1988, in Kennett, he married Linda Henderson, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Robert Smith and wife, Ashlee, of Branson, Mo., and Michael Smith and wife, Lori, of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Sarah Davis and husband, Lance, of Kennett; five grandchildren, Randa Smith, Jorja Smith and Kaylee Smith, Ella Grace Davis and Megan Bullock and husband, Spencer; his mother, Earline Hargrove, of Kennett; one brother, Jimmy Russell, of Iowa; one sister, Judy Jett and husband, Tom, of Kennett and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Hargrove.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, April 14, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Smith, Michael Smith, Earl Luttrell, Chris Wilson, Johnny Darnell, Don Luttrell, Mike Hunter and James Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were the maintenance and transportation crew of Kennett Public Schools.
