Kennett's Susan Shetley competes in the triple jump, an event she won Monday during a quadrangular meet with NMCC, Hayti and Caruthersville at Metz Cherry Stadium.
The Tribe won the boys division, while the girls finished second to NMCC in their division.
"These are 'practice' meets but the boys and girls are all trying hard to get prepared for invitationals," Kennett girls' track coach Marc Sherrell said.

Jimmie Gooden and Tyler Daugherty also had big days, as Daugherty won the 1600- and 3200-meter runs, while Gooden won the 400-meters and finished second to Bowles in the high jump.
On the girls' side, Kennett racked up 81 points, second to NMCC's 91.
Tamere White won the 100- and 300-meter hurdle events, while Susan Shetley won the triple jump, Samantha Geary won the 1600-meters and Enna Thompson took home second in the shot put.
Kennett is slated to compete in a quadrangular meet today at Charleston against the host school, East Prairie and Hayti before heading to the East Prairie Invitational on Friday.
"We're excited about the rest of the season," said Sherrell.
Notes: Kennett's girls squad had four players out with injuries on Monday -- Samantha Risner, Alex Washburn, Brittney Williams and Odejah "DJ" Samuel. ... The Tribe and Lady Tribe has two more home meets this season, a quad meet with Scott County Central, Hayti and Caruthersville one week from today and the Kennett Invitational on April 21.

Kennett takes sixth at ND
The Tribe kicked off the 2009 season with a sixth-place finish out of 13 teams at the Notre Dame Invitational Monday at Cape Girardeau.
Kennett shot 376 as a team, led by Ryan Richardson's 89.
Randy Crawford was second on the team with a 94, while Justin Lynn shot a 95 and Sean Callawaert finished with a 98
The Indians are slated to host Doniphan today at Kennett Country Club.
Poplar Bluff won Monday's meet.
Baseball
Kennett 16, Hayti 0
At Indian Park, the Tribe improved to 2-0 in the Bootheel Conference and 3-1 on the season with a convincing win over Hayti.
Kennett scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning to break a scoreless tie, then broke the game open in the bottom of the third and enforced the 10-run mercy rule in the middle of the fifth inning.
Andrew Hooper drove in a run on a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the second inning, while Bo Smith turned in another strong day offensively.
Austin Jackson started and earned his first win of the season.
The Tribe is off until Saturday, when it travels to Cape to take on state-ranked district and SEMO Conference rival Notre Dame in a 2 p.m. contest before coming home on Monday to face another SEMO rival in Jackson.
Campbell 12, Senath-H'ville 7
At Campbell, the host Camels rallied from a six-run deficit by scoring a total of 11 runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Campbell trailed 7-1 entering the home half of the fifth inning when Zack Jackson hit a two-run triple to right field. Three batters later, Jake Nelson hit a three-run homer off reliever Zack King to slice the lead to 7-6.
The Camels erupted for six more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Jackson, Dillion Rice, Kyle Matthews and Jake Nelson all had hits as 12 men batted in the inning.
Joe Campbell picked up the win, while Cale Weeks earned the save.
Jackson was 3-for-5 with three RBIs while Nelson finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs
For Senath-Hornersville (1-1), Matt Fouts was 3-for-4 with a double and Exon Moncada was 2-for-3.
Valle 4, Cooter 0
At Ste. Genevieve, Valle Catholic outhit the visiting Wildcats 5-2 and took advantage of six errors to hand Cooter its first loss of the year.
Starter Aaron McCaig took the tough-luck loss, going four innings, striking out seven and walking one.
McCaig and Logan Edwards had the only hits for Cooter.
Cooter (2-1) will open conference play today at Gideon.
