Ricky Gilpin

Ricky Gilpin, 60, of Holcomb, Mo., died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at General Baptist Nursing Center in Campbell, Mo.

Born Sept. 21, 1948, in White Oak, Mo., son of Geraldine Reed Avery Gilpin and the late W.A. Gilpin, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Gilpin, of Holcomb, Mo.; two brothers, Gary Gilpin and wife, Carolyn, of Arnold, Mo., and Jimmy Gilpin and wife, Sheila, of Kennett; a sister-in-law, Roxy Gilpin, of Trumann, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Gilpin.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Bartholomew officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.

Pallbearers are Gary, Jimmy and Courtney Gilpin, Shane Davis, Scott Presley and Kenny Trout.
