She was born Sept. 2, 1942, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of Ralph A. and Margaret J. (Hill) Green. She and Robert W. Gum, Jr. were married on June 13, 1963 in Kennett, Mo. Mrs. Gum was a homemaker. She attended Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by husband, Robert W. Gum, Jr., of Cape Girardeau; sons, Mark W. Gum, of Cape Girardeau, Scott R. Gum, of Kansas City, Mo., and Steven L. Gum, of Cape Girardeau, and her father, Ralph A. Green, of Wappapello, Mo. She is also survived by four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, March 23.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 23, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield Mo., with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.
