Mayme Inez Kinchen, 98, of Hollywood, Mo., died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at her residence.
Born May 16, 1910, in Trenton, Tenn., daughter of the late W.A. and Laura Dale Minter Ogden, she was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Hollywood Congregation. She was a former teacher, who taught school at Paulding, Arbyrd, Rives, Manila and Hornersville.
On June 2, 1933, she was united in marriage to Leslie Kinchen, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1985. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Pleasant and Countess Buckley.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tucker and husband, Bill, of Hollywood and Linda Kinchen Wheeler, of Kennett; one brother, Paul Ogden, of Campbell, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, former students, other relatives and many friends and her faithful dog, Snow.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, Mo., with Dwight Harrison officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Carter, Nathan Carter, Terry Scott, Keith Scott, Joe Maxwell and Keith Maxwell.
