Tuesday, March 17, 2009
The 8th annual Little Riverfest will be held, Saturday, April 18, in Hornersville, Mo. with the first Little Riverfest Poker Run, along with several acts.

This year will mark the first year for the Little Riverfest Poker Run welcoming street rods and vintage muscle cars.

This year Coldwater Productions will be presenting "Rock Legends" Black Oak Arkansas, Grammy nominated, Atlanta Blues Singer and guitarist, Moanin' Michele Malone, and new and upcoming artists The Delta Queens joining the host group, The Usual Suspects

For over 40 years, Black Oak Arkansas has been taking the roots music of the Arkansas Delta Land and turning it into hard-edged rock n' roll, according to a spokesman for Coldwater Productions.

After selling Gold and Platinum albums, Black Oak Arkansas is credited with developing the rock staging and performances music fans are used to seeing from their favorite groups today.

Michelle Malone was nicknamed "Moanin" by blues legend Albert King, Coldwater Productions noted.

Malone, one of Atlanta's favorite live performers, is compared to the best vocals and slide guitar licks of Bonnie Raitt and the songwriting of Shelby Lynne. Her 2006 album "Sugarfoot" was nominated for a Grammy.

The artist's new album "Debris" is getting rave reviews.

"She is a powerhouse on stage and has performed with several artists including Jackson Browne, Shawn Colvin, the Indigo Girls, Little Feat, Albert King, and Z.Z. Top," a spokesman for Coldwater Productions said.

With the addition of the new activities to the awesome array of musical entertainment,

Riverfest is steadily gaining momentum as the premiere festival in Southern Missouri, according to Coldwater Productions.

The gates for the event will open at 4 p.m., with music beginning at 5 p.m. For further information on the event call 1(800) 890-1647.
