Gracie Meriedith, 86, of Kennett, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Nov. 22, 1923, in Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Leona Brown Morrison.
She married T.J. Bryson, who preceded her in death. She married James W. Meriedith, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Morrison and Homer Morrison and a sister, Lola Morrison.
Survivors include four daughters, Billie Isham, Sue Speers and June Holbrook, all of Michigan, Sharon Jones, of Jonesboro, Ark.; a niece, Shirley McElhaney and husband, Joe, of Kennett; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 7, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, Mo. with Rev. Charles James officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Roger and J.D. Easley, and Dennis, Gene, Johnny and J.P. McElhaney.
