Born Nov. 1, 1924, in Newton County, Ark., son of the late Ira F. and Villar Curtis Slusher, he was a locksmith and a member of Jaywye Church of God.
On March 25, 1977, in Tampa, Fla., he married Margaret Isaacks, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Melvin Slusher and wife, Hazel, of Naylor, Mo.; two sisters, Reba Vincent, of Malden, Mo., and Janis Temples, of Hartsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Brad Slusher, of Poplar Bluff, Tara March, of Doniphan, Mo., Kelly Skiver, of Ocean Side, Calif., and Brian Smith, of Indianapolis, Ind., and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Skiver; two brothers, Johnny and Glen Slusher and two sisters, Nadine Brewer and Geneva Warren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, Feb. 27, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Stevens officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elder Cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
