Juanita Butler

Juanita Smith Butler, 90, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at Golden Liver Center in Malden.

Born Feb. 5, 1919, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the late Arch and Fariah Hays Smith, she was a graduate of Caruthersville High School and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Matthews and husband, John, of Malden; four nieces and one nephew.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23, in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville with James Powell officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
