Charles Kenneth Davis, 74, of Hornersville, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009.

Born May 3, 1934, in Lake City, Ark., son of the late Arthur and Christine Stoker Davis, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.

On Dec. 18, 1980, in Kennett, he married Marjorie Patterson, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Kenneth Don and wife, Andrea, of Mountain Home, Ark., and Donald Davis, of Springfield, Mo.; two step-sons, Garry Hicks and wife, Janice, of Millington, Tenn., and Mark Hicks and wife, Carol, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Rhonda Sitzes and husband, David, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Debbie Battles, of Bloomfield, Mo.; two sisters, Maude Boyd, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Rita Sloan, of Truman, Ark.; seven grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gene Davis and one sister, Ruby Richie.

Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 23, in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville with Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating.

Pallbearers were Jerry, Ganes and Paul Patterson, Steve and Parker Worrell and Dennis Scott.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
