James Miller

James Darrell "Jay" Miller, 69, of Clarkton, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at his residence.

Born March 17, 1939, in Parma, Mo., son of the late Thomas and Mary Riley Miller, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Survivors include two sons, James Michael Miller, Sr., and wife, Michelle, of Clarkton, and Kendell Miller and wife, Connie, of Gideon, Mo.; three daughters, Rita Anthony, and Mary North and husband, Rusty, all of Stuttgart, Ark., and Paula Bailey and husband, Mark, of Ulm, Ark.; three sisters, Louise Mayes and Tommie Pyles, both of Clarkton and Sue Blackwood, of Memphis, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Miller; two brothers, W.R. and Lawrence Miller and two sisters, Eva Mae Morris and Edith Andrews.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Friday, Feb. 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
