Lavona Zona Miller, 86, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Malden.
Born Jan. 31, 1923, in Kewanee, Mo., daughter of the late J.B. and Jessie Tanner Lomax, she was owner of Lavona's Beauty Shop in Risco, Mo., a member of Pleasantview General Baptist Church in Risco and later she attended Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden.
On Dec. 5, 1940, in Malden, she married Oscar Aaron Miller, who preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ralph V. Miller.
Survivors include three sons, Robert and Terry Miller, both of Malden and Stanley Miller, of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Barbara Medlin, of Parma, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden with Rev. Mark Powell, Dan Hargrave and James Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
