Pauline Aukes, 88, of Hornersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born May 4, 1920, in Coldwater, Mo., daughter of the late William and Eva Burns Mizell, she was a school teacher at Hornersville School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hornersville.
On April 23, 1945, in Kennett, she married Lewis "Lew" Aukes, who survives.
Survivors also include one brother, Robert C. Mizell, of Senath, Mo.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Hornersville Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Hornersville Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Mike Beard, Mark Moore, Tommy Burgess, John Edmonson, and Chris and Jason Droke.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Droke, James Lowry, Richard Mara and Tommy Wilkins.
Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church in Hornersville.
