James W. Jackson
James W. (Jim) Jackson, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Hornersville, Mo., died January 22, 2009.
Born December 15, 1923, in Pueblo, Colo., son of Rowland F. Jackson and Pansy L. Cobble, he was a member of the U.S. Army during WWII, earning two Battle stars for service in Europe.
In 1945, her married Virginia Rodery, who survives the home.
Other survivors include a son, James R. Jackson, and wife, Faye, eight grandchildren, Tammy Clopton and husband, Dale, Dona Amador and husband, Kenny, Darin Burton and wife, Terri, Mike Washington and wife, Cara, Eric Washington; Bridgette Richards and husband, Don; Troy Bippert and wife, Wendy, and Christopher Jackson and wife, Missy.
He was also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Donnie and Phil.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janey; and two brothers, Rowland and David.
Graveside Funeral services will be conducted with Military Rites at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7 at Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo., with Rev. David Powell officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of choice.
