Jimmy Horner, 87, of Kennett, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009.
Born March 12, 1921, in Kennett, son of the late Walter and Minnie Bollinger Horner, he was a Mason and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He married Mildred Edwards, who preceded him in death on June 27, 1984. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Danny Horner and wife, Dana, of Germantown, Tenn.; one daughter, Janet Mayor and husband, Don, of Sherwood, Ark.; one sister, Grace Jones, of Kennett; four grandchildren, Michael Horner, of Memphis, Tenn., and Sydney, Daniel and Molly Mayor, all of Sherwood, and special friend, Bonnie Felker, of Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Johnathan Mays, Virgil Forrester, Charles Parker, Tom Chandler, Allen Young, Henry Gee and Sonny Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Baker, Gene Lemonds, Joe Walker and Johnny Vandiver.
