Oda Mae Pfeffer, 90, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at his residence.
Born Jan. 11, 1919, in Bells, Tenn., the son of the late William Robert and Winnie Mae Kinchen Jernigan. He was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden and was retired from Brown Shoe Company.
On Dec. 19, 1936, he married Hollie Floyd Pfeffer, who preceded him in death Feb. 26, 1978.
Surviors include three sons, Wendell Pfeffer, of Dudley, Mo., Lowell Pfeffer, of Campbell, Mo., and Byron Pfeffer, of Kennett, Mo., one daughter, Glenda Ferguson, of Malden, two borthers, Estell Jernigan, of Rutherford, Tenn., and Lloyd Jernigan, of Emmett, Ark., four sisters, Flossie Lewis, of Braggadocio, Mo., Ophelia Duncan, of Kenton, Tenn., Jessie Reason, of Brownsville, Tenn., and Opal Adams, Trenton, Tenn., 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, R. C. Jernigan and James Jernigan, two infant brothers, and two sisters, Clister Wilson and Hortense Barger.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.
Interment was at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.
