Julia Sue Watson, age 81, of West Memphis, Ark., formerly of Kennett, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 in West Memphis, after a long battle of cancer. She died in her home with her care giver Coney Allen by her side.
Julia Sue Watson, daughter of the late Roy Chailland and Eva (Reed) Chailland, was born April 28, 1927 in Caruth, Mo., and departed this life on Jan. 22, 2009 at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 25 days.
Julia married Charlie B. Watson on April 27, 1945. Charlie preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Craig Bryan Watson, Sr., of Tunica, Miss.; five grandchildren, Craig Bryan Watson, Jr., Kim Scroggins, Cameron Watson, Kelsey Watson, and Carter Watson; four great-grandchildren, Carson Watson, Charter Watson, Conner Watson, and Max Todd; and nine nieces and nephews. She had many special friends she loved dearly, among them are Joe Bankhead and Virginia Kirby.
Julie was preceded in death by seven brothers, Cecil, Omar, Grover, Hassell, Wayne, Seeward, and L.R.
