Sandy Hatfield

Sandy Wright Hatfield, 60, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Kennett, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at her residence.

Born Nov. 28, 1948, in Kennett, daughter of the late Hoyt A. and Verline Brooks Wright, she was a professional barrel racer, who earned a lefetime membership in the Women's Professional Rodeo Association. She was a painter and a member of Christ's Church in Fayetteville, Ark.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Hatfield; two sisters, Annette Jones, of Paragould, Ark., and Sharon Webb, of Piggott, Ark.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Jim Huffman officiating.
