Glen Elder

Glen Allen Elder, 88, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Malden.

Born July 14, 1920, in Malden, son of the late Elzie and Lucy Wells Elder, he was a self-employed carpenter and attended the Spoonerville Baptist Church in Malden.

On Dec. 16, 1939, in Malden, he married Lucille Elder, who survives.

Survivors also include one sister, Eva Pesek, of St. Louis, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Van, Donald, Fred, James and Marion Elder and two sisters, Mary Margaret Allen and Emma Nell Dale.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
