James L. Langley, 82, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Aug. 31, 1926, in Kennett, son of the late Wilbert "Webb" and Alice Ross langley, He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
On Dec. 24, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Imogene Hodge, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Michael langley and wife, Elizabeth, of Hazelwood, Mo.; two daughters, Patsy Donaldson, of Hornersville, Mo., and Debra Toler and husband, Steven, of Troy, Mo.; one brother, Doyne Langley, of Tunica, Miss.; one sister, Sue Pierce, of Hornersville; six grandchildren, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Langley, Tracey Iverson, Stephanie Carter, Erin Tole and Kyle Mohrmane, and three great-grandchildren, Devon, Gabriel and Jacob Carter.
He was preceded in death by one son, Roger Langley; two brothers, Bill and Dale Langley, and one granddaughter, Kenzy Langley.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath, Mo., with Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gerald Bishop, Chris and Gary Langley, Kyle Mohrmane, Ricky Parker, Jerry Overson, Steven Toler and James Hodge.
