Margaret Virginia Hargraves, 86, of Clarkton died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Lynn Oak General Baptist Church in Clarkton, a member of Carnation Chapter 121 Order of the Eastern Star in Malden and was a retired baker for a grocery store.

Born Jan. 29, 1922, in Gideon, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Gertha (Provance) Hardy. On July 22, 1939 in Gideon, she was united in marriage to Leonard "Doc" Hargraves, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2001

She also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Vicki Hargraves; one brother, Newell Hardy; and one sister, Patsy Walton.

Surviving are three sons, Darroll (Savannah) Hargraves of Wasilla, Alaska, Buddy (Velva) Hargraves of Clarkton, and Jerry (Pat) Hargraves of Campbell; one daughter, Janiece Segraves of Holcomb; one sister, Willodene Reese of Kermit, Texas; one brother, Harold Hardy of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Bowers, Kathy Cress, Damon, Daren, Keith, Ricky, Scott and Tracy Hargraves, and Gary and Corey Segraves; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 29, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary Gelsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
