One candidate, Ronnie Newman, has currently filed for the position of Mayor of Senath. John Holmes has currently filed and is running unopposed for the office of South Ward Alderman, while the office of North Ward Alderman has collected two filings. One of the filings for the office is the current position holder, Joe McLain, the other filing comes from Ray Ivy. The position of City Marshall also currently has two filings, the first is acting Chief of Police Omar Karnes, his opponent in the race is police officer Michael George.
Cardwell has two positions open, one of which is the Mayoral position, and the other is the position of South Ward Alderman. John Prince has filed to be re-elected Mayor of Cardwell, and Jack Sparks has filed to be re-elected South Ward Alderman.
Brent Pierce is the only filing, so far, in the Arbyrd race for a North Ward Alderman and a South Ward Alderman. Pierce has filed for his current position of South Ward Alderman and is seeking re-election.
A Mayoral Race will be held in Hornersville where there are already two candidates for the position of mayor. One of these candidates is the current Mayor of Hornersville, Richard Mara, who seeks re-election in April.
Another candidate for mayor is current Alderman Ronda Rauls, who has recently filed to be elected the new Mayor. North and South Ward Alderman positions are both up for grabs in the election as well.
Current holders of these positions are Bruce Miller, North Ward Alderman, and Phyllis Hamrick, South Ward Alderman.
Both of these individuals have filed for re-election.

I think Michael George will make a great Police Chief.
